In South Africa, the Capable Partners Program (CAP) is playing a key role responding to the HIV epidemic by focusing on prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) of HIV. Working with the National, Provincial and District Departments of Health and community health services providers as well as select non-governmental organizations (NGOs), CAP strengthens their capacity to provide maternal nutrition and optimal infant and young child feeding (ICYF) services in the context of HIV prevention in the country's nine provinces.
This clearinghouse of program reports and assessments aims to faciliatate information sharing among South Africa's PMTCT practitioners and providers.
