    T

he Essential NGO Guide to Managing Your USAID Award is designed to help NGOs effectively manage U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) funds.

The Guide explains step by step how to handle the life cycle of a USAID grant from award, start-up and implementation through monitoring, evaluation, reporting and close-out. Each chapter provides links to practical tools, specific documents and Websites that offer NGOs additional strategies and practices to improve their capacity to respond to the needs of their beneficiaries.

Funding for this Guide was provided by USAID. Its contents and views do not necessarily reflect those of either USAID or the U.S. government.

The Guide is available in multiple languages.

USAID Update: SAM.gov replaces EPLS.gov for Excluded Parties and Terrorism Searches

The System for Award Management (SAM.gov) has replaced the Excluded Parties Listing System (EPLS.gov) for debarment searches. This alert replaces previous guidance found in CAP materials such as The Essential NGO Guide, Implementation Tips, and eNewsletters. To verify that consultants, staff, vendors and subcontractors are eligible to receive US Government funds, you must now consult SAM.gov.
