FHI 360 implemented a multisectoral approach to family planning (FP) programming in close collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the National Population Council (NPC) in Uganda under USAID's Advancing Partners & Communities Project between 2017-2019. FHI 360 used its signature, multi-stakeholder engagement methodology, SCALE+, to ensure critical actors were part of the solutions to FP challenges.
FHI 360 has developed the Youth Programming Assessment Tool (YPAT) to help youth-serving civil society organizations (YSOs) reflect upon their own internal programming and institutional practices and identify areas for improvement. In developing the YPAT tool, FHI360 reviewed over 20 youth program assessment tools, held consultations with experts and stakeholders in the field, and pilot tested it with three YSOs in Jordan and six YSOs in Jamaica.
The YPAT helps Youth Serving Organizations (YSOs) understand the extent to which effective youth program practices are being implemented as part of their program offerings and identify areas that need strengthening or further development.
